Although there are undoubtedly many hip hop artist hiding in the closet since the dawn of the genre, it took a brave and much younger many, Frank Ocean, to shock the industry with a frank and honest look inside his heart.

On the heals of Anderson Cooper's own recent adminitions, we can only hope this is the beginning of a snow-ball. When celebrities and idols come out, it gives hope and courage to untold numbers of youth who can realize they are not alone and don't have to live a life hiding.
Great! Congratulations to this brave young man. As a hip hop fan myself, I am very glad to finally see that gay artists are open about their sexuality, especially taking into consideration the fact that homophobic attitudes still exist in many hip hop and ragga tracks.
